Brittany A. Apple, M.A., LPC

20160831_111921Brittany Apple is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Her training involved work in an inpatient unit and she served as a facilitator and evaluator for community programs serving adolescents struggling with substance abuse issues. She has worked in faith-inclusive and secular outpatient settings for clients of all ages.

Brittany works collaboratively with individuals, couples, and their families to explore and develop strategies to help clients overcome emotional and behavioral barriers encountered at home, in school, or in social settings. She utilizes cognitive behavioral techniques, relational theory, and non-directive play therapy as a medium for self-expression. Her background involves working with clients on issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, anger management, self-control, unstable family, divorce, and loss.

Her counseling philosophy is rooted in positive psychology. She believes in the importance of identifying personal strengths that will contribute to the task of overcoming any obstacles to personal contentment.
