Judith Anderson, M.A., LPC

JudiJudith L. Anderson is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and her Masters Degree in Psychology from Houston Baptist University.  Ms. Anderson’s areas of interest and specialization include depression and anxiety issues, marriage and relationship counseling, life improvement skills, anger management, parenting, workplace stress, career counseling, testing, and assessment, aging, and mid-life issues.  Ms. Anderson’s training also includes testing children and adolescents for learning disabilities, ADHA, achievement, aptitude, and intelligence.  While at HBU, she conducted research on “The Aging Brain” and the “Effect of Estrogen Therapies on Memory in Post-Menopausal Women”.

Ms. Anderson has taught classes in anger management and parenting for FamilyTime in Humble as well as parenting classes at several local churches.  She has served as facilitator for the Women’s Support Group at Academy of Lifelong Learning and has presented workshops and seminars on various topics including “Laughing for the Health of It” and “Depressions and the Effects of Exercise.”

Prior to receiving her Master of Arts in Psychology, Ms. Anderson earned her Master of Science in Environmental Science in 1983 from the University of Texas in Dallas, and she has over 20 years of experience in start-up operations for environmental engineering, product development, marketing and business development, client services, staff development, and project management.

Ms. Anderson is a member of the Texas Counseling Association (recipient of a local branch Scholarship Award), the American Psychological Association, and the American Counseling Association.  She is the mother of three adult children and enjoys attempting to play golf with her husband.  She is a member of the Atascocita Presbyterian Church.
