She has counseled individuals and groups dealing with the fallout of domestic violence and is a Safe Zone trained Ally for the LGBTQ community. Lacy enjoys working with families and couples, and has a special interest in counseling individuals and couples struggling with sexuality and sexual issues.

She believes that the path to having productive and healthy relationships with others is to first have a productive and healthy relationship with yourself. Because of this, she uses an integrative approach to counseling, tailoring treatment to the individual based on their specific needs and goals. Lacy challenges cognitive distortions and negative thinking patterns that we can all get caught up in from time to time. She uses metaphors and psychoeducation with clients to help them better understand themselves, and approaches client issues using the Cognitive Behavioral model of counseling. This model focuses on how thinking affects behavior and how behavior affects daily life and relationships.

In addition to her counseling credentials and experience, Lacy is also a Certified Laugh Yoga Leader and believes that laughter is a great way to connect with yourself and with others. Above all else, Lacy is passionate about people and believes the key finding joy is the combination of hope and action.
