Loree Munro, M.Ed., LPC

20160825_194641Loree Munro is a National Certified Counselor, licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors as a Professional Counselor and Supervisor. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Education from the University of Manitoba, Canada, a Master’s in Music Performance from Northwestern University, IL, and a Master’s in Education, Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Ms. Munro has 27 years of experience in public education as a teacher, counselor and administrator.

Ms. Munro works with children, adolescents, and adults on issues associated with ADD/ADHD, grief, life transitions and adjustment, anxiety, stress, and depression. She employs cognitive-behavioral and brief, solution-focused theory as well as techniques of play therapy to assist in the therapeutic process. Loree views the therapeutic relationship as a powerful vehicle for change in individuals seeking new perspectives and resolution to issues they face. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process in which all participants must fully engage to maximize benefit.

Loree is committed to professional growth and maintains active membership in Texas Counseling Association and Texas School Counseling Association.
