Individual and Family Counseling
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center encourages a collaborative effort between individuals and the clinician throughout the therapeutic process. Clinicians in the practice strive to provide an open, honest, and supportive environment to facilitate change, empowerment, and self care.

Play Therapy
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center offers Play Therapy for children aged 3 – 12, which utilizes play as the medium to express themselves and journey through the healing process.

Prepare/Enrich
Assessments for premarital counseling and education are offered through the Prepare/Enrich Program. Additionally, trained facilitators provide marriage enrichment to assist couples with positive relationship skills.

Testing and Assessments
Psychological testing and assessment services are available in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment of disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. The most common assessments completed at Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders, Personality Evaluations, Chronic Pain Evaluations, Pre-Bariatric Surgery Assessments, and Career Testing.

Chronic Pain Management
Chronic Pain is defined as pain that lasts longer than six months. Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center uses a collaborative approach involving medical physicians when assisting individuals with chronic pain. Treatment methods include individual and group counseling in conjunction with Biofeedback.

Sandtray Therapy
Sandtray Therapy is an expressive process that is used by children, adolescents, and adults. Sandtray therapy allows individuals to express non-verbal feelings, emotions, and conflicts while increasing self-awareness and enhanced communication.

Empowered Parenting
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center follows the Parenting With Love and Logic Approach developed by Jim Fay and Foster W. Cline, M.D. Parents and caregivers are offered individual and/or group sessions to become an empowered parent rearing empowered children.

Why Try
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center offers the Why Try curriculum to individuals and groups, 5 years of age into adulthood. As a strength-based approach, the Why Try Program provides individuals with the insight and tools to overcome challenges and improve outcomes in areas of behavior, choices, and emotions.

Career Counseling
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center offers Career Counseling to students, individuals and groups to assist them in determining a career path or career change. Career testing and assessment at Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center involves a three-prong approach to include assessing aptitudes, interests, and personality to integrate information and focus on a match between the person and the requirements and conditions of occupations. Trained clinicians also assist individuals with course selections, college and trade school entry requirements, and credit transfer options.

Social Skills Training Groups
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center offers Social Skills Groups for children ages 3 – 10 with behavioral difficulties. Small groups are facilitated by a Registered Play Therapist with a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern assisting.

Biofeedback
Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center offers Biofeedback as a technique to teach individuals to control their body’s functions, such as their heart rate to facilitate symptom reduction.
